How much does the average cake cost?

This is a tricky question, as everyone’s cake wants and needs are different. To answer this question best we will assume that the average bride and groom are looking for a simple three tier buttercream cake that will serve up to 65 guests (given that they will save the top tier for their one year anniversary). This would cost approximately $300.

Do you require a deposit?

There is a $50 nonrefundable deposit required to secure your date.

How does delivery work and is there a fee?

We will deliver and set up your cake prior to your reception/cocktail hour. Since some reception and ceremony locations are close to each other we prefer to deliver and set up your cake prior to the ceremony to insure it’s delivery does not interfere with other vendors or your guests’ arrival.

There is a .50 per mile (round trip) fee for delivery

Do you provide cake stands and/or toppers?

We don’t provide these items. We suggest you ask the venue to borrow a cake stand or bring your own.

Since most couples prefer a topper that is customized with their names or a theme related phrase we ask that you provide these.

Do you provide any cake decorations?

Yes, if you would like ribbons, bows, beads, edible glitter, etc we are happy to  provide them. Other decorations such as gumpaste flowers, sugar flowers, edible cake lace, and edible fabric are also available at an additional cost.

**We will purchase flowers (real or fake) if you would like, but strongly suggest that you ask your florist to leave a selection of flowers on the cake table to use as decoration. Not only will this ensure that your flowers match your theme/décor seamlessly, it is also much more cost effective.

Can I schedule a tasting?

Yes! Just fill out the information on the contact us page or send us an email. Be sure to look at the tasting information page as well.

How long do I have to make changes to my cake?

As your wedding date gets closer things change; whether that’s guest count, wedding color/theme, or cake design. Even if you book your cake a year ahead of the wedding, we stay in contact and encourage you to email with any questions, concerns, or updates at any time. We ask that all changes be made at least two weeks prior to the wedding date.

How far in advance will my cake be made?

Cakes, icing, and fillings are all prepared the week of your wedding; with the cake being assembled a day or two prior to your wedding date. Only cakes requiring intricate or time/labor intensive work will be prepared further in advance.

We do not freeze your cake prior to delivery, nor do we prepare your cake using mixes or store bought icings. Unless specific ingredients/icings are requested, items are prepared from scratch.
